Directory listings and advertising – what works for you?

It’s time for our first Question of the Month. Last week, we asked you to submit your burning questions, and we’ve picked one that we think will be of interest to every private practitioner.
The question came from Caroline Timms and is as follows:
“I’ve just set up in private practice as a psychotherapist and keep getting calls from various national companies asking me to advertise with them. How do I work out which are profitable avenues and which are just money wasters?”
