We recently carried out a survey, asking therapists to tell us about their websites. Surprisingly, 20% of the respondents said that they didn’t have one.
Perhaps they are worried about the potential cost. Or maybe they think it will take up too much of their time. Or, they may feel that a website won’t help them attract clients.
However, the opposite is true. A good website is probably the most effective way to get more clients. It doesn’t have to cost a fortune, and can be very straightforward.
To find out more, have a look at our articles on getting a website and online marketing.
Back to the survey. Those who did have a website revealed some more interesting facts…

  • 25% felt their websites didn’t do the job they wanted
  • 67% didn’t know how many visitors they received
  • 30% hadn’t updated their sites for 4 months or more

If you have a website, would you agree with any of the above statements? If the answer is ‘yes’, it’s time to do something about it.
If your website doesn’t do the job you want, it’s a waste of time. This post has some important tips that may help. You can also read our blog about website copywriting.
If you don’t know how many visitors you receive, it’s time to talk to your web designer or hosting provider to see if you can get hold of those stats. Knowing whether your marketing efforts are getting results helps you to decide whether you need to change them.
And if you haven’t updated your website recently, it’s time for a little refresh. Visitors can often tell when a site is neglected. For example, if your last news article was months ago, they’ll get the impression that you’re out of business. Update your site regularly with news, useful articles and new services.
