Acas (Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service) provide free and impartial information and advice to employers and employees on all aspects of workplace relations and employment law, and their website is a great place to start if you are looking for free resources for yourself and your private practice.
There’s the advice and guidance section, which provides advice and downloadable handbooks on a wide range of employment matters such as zero hours contracts, equality and working hours, as well as a handy section dedicated to downloadable tools, templates and resources including the Acas productivity tool. What are the strengths and weaknesses of your practice?
What you might not have known is that they also provide good value training courses and workshops, one of which covers a very timely topic and is all about the benefits and challenges of managing a multi-generation workforce. The ageing workforce offers valuable opportunities for organisations, but it can also present new challenges and considerations for employers such as how to recruit and retain older workers and achieving a healthy work-life balance for employees.
You can find out more about the Managing an Ageing Workforce training events here and book a space on your nearest one.
