I am considering become a life coach. Where do I start?

The best place to start, no matter what sort of coach you would like to become, is to decide which training process to sign up for. There comes a challenge here, as there are many options, with many different price tags. If you are clear already about what kind of coaching you want to specialise in, then you might want to look for coach training organisations that offer specialised training. If you don’t know yet, then getting a foundational training from a general coach training organisation is a good way to go.

Another important consideration is to see becoming a coach as not just a training issue, but an entrepreneurial one. Unless you are going to be a coach from within an organisation, it is most likely that you will be freelance and will want to build up a coaching practice. That means you need to think about business building skills, business management and importantly, how you will approach marketing. The Private Practice Hub has hundreds of articles and resources to help with this.
