MY PRACTICE Working from two bases – St. Pauls, in central Bristol, and my private therapy room in Frampton Cotterell, South Gloucestershire – my therapy covers issues such as abuse, anxiety, bereavement, depression, loss, trauma, self-esteem, sexual identity, sexuality and relationships. I am experienced in working with people from the LGBTQ community; difference does not mean isolation, misunderstanding or anxiety. I embrace diversity and difference, and I enjoy working with people from different walks of life, ethnicity, religion, culture and sexuality. ABOUT ME I am a second-generation, Black British man, of Jamaican descent. I feel fortunate to come from a very diverse family background, which also includes White, Indian and Chinese. and this sense of richness has, I feel, enabled me to gain a deeper understanding of the environments in which I have lived. I have travelled extensively, including South America, Africa and Asia, which has helped me to gain a deeper understanding of the world in which we live. MY THERAPEUTIC APPROACH My therapeutic approach is Person-Centred, combined with elements of CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy). I will help you to reflect and explore the issues that concern you, working towards finding your own solutions to making your life happier, and overcoming challenges. I offer a counselling environment that is safe, supportive and non-judgemental. I offer a free, 30 minute, initial consultation for us to meet, discuss your concerns, and establish our relationship.
