I am an Integrative Counsellor, meaning that I am not fixed in one perspective, and I don’t believe in one truth. I draw on different modalities to find the best way to support you, because I see human experience as too unique and complex to be contained by one theory. I work from the premise that our early experiences have a big influence on who we are today. From the early years, we learn to adopt to our environment, often at the cost of our more creative and unique aspects. I see those experiences as powerful forces subconsciously shaping our lives, determining how we are in the world now, how we relate to others and what is the relationship with ourselves. Counselling and psychotherapy aim to help you to become aware of your beliefs and behaviours which no longer serve you and to find new ways of coping to live more fulfilling life. I believe that establishing a good therapeutic relationship based on trust, empathy and collaboration can allow to take risks in exploring thoughts and feelings without fear of being judged. This can be very empowering and life changing. I see each person as a unique individual with a capacity to heal, grow and achieve their potential and my role is to facilitate that change.
