I am a fully qualified Integrative Psychotherapist (UKCP reg.) and Psychodynamic Counsellor (MBACP, MBPsS), currently in the final stages of a UKCP accredited Doctorate in Counselling Psychology at Metanoia Institute (a joint programme with Middlesex University, London). I have worked in a variety of settings (adult counselling services, NHS, the Higher Education Sectors) providing individual counselling and psychotherapy to clients from all walks of life (students, young adults, older clients). I provide medium, long and short-term therapy at a centrally located, relaxed and professional setting in Canterbury, Kent. I aim to offer you a safe and confidential space which would hopefully encourage you to explore your thoughts and feelings in a respectful and non-judgmental environment. Reflecting on the issues and difficulties you might have encountered recently or at different stages in your life may give you time to think about and decide what it is you need to do, as well as enable you to see a different perspective and subsequently make changes in your life and in your relationships with Self and others. Increasing your awareness and understanding may help you come to a resolution and/or acceptance. Potential benefits of counselling and psychotherapy might be developing a stronger sense of Self and the ability to set boundaries, alleviating anxiety, greater self-confidence, regaining emotional balance, increasing assertiveness as well as building more fulfilling and supportive relationships. Some of the issues that I work with include abuse, anxiety, bereavement and loss, body image concerns, bullying, cultural awareness and/or alienation, depression, discrimination, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties and interpersonal issues, Self and identity, sexuality, trauma, work-related stress and more. Feel free to contact me or see my website for more details.
