As a Counselling Psychologist, I combine the art and skills of counselling and psychotherapy with the science of psychology. I aim to provide a highly professional, effective, confidential and quality therapy service that focuses on your individual needs. I can offer short-term brief, solution-focused therapies (6-12 sessions) to long-term (6-18 months, weekly sessions) insight-based therapies. I aim to help you manage and overcome a wide range of difficulties including: Chronic illness, pain, Anxiety, stress, panic and phobias, Depression, low mood and low motivation, Low self esteem and confidence, relationship and family issues, Bereavement, grief and loss, OCD, PTSD, trauma, abuse, sexual difficulties, Bullying, school or work stress and other challenges that you may be struggling with. As well as face-to-face therapy, I can also provide online and telephone counselling. I am originally from Turkey so I can provide therapy in Turkish as well.
Doctorate in Counselling Psychology (Regent’s University), Masters in Counselling and Psychotherapy (West London University), BA in Psychology and Sociology (The University of Reading) I am also an EMDR Therapist. I have been studying and working in the field of psychology and psychological therapies since 1998. Over the years, I have worked with individuals and groups presenting with a range of psychological problems across the moderate to severe end of the mental health spectrum. I have experience of working with adults, young people, couples and groups in a variety of settings including the NHS, counselling centres and in private practice.
