Counselling psychology and psychotherapy for individuals, couples and families
My Services:

After running a successful practice in Guildford and Richmond I have now relocated to the Isle of Wight and move my practice southward. I still work in Guildford two days a week and may have some limited availability when you contact me. I am building up a new presence in Southsea as well as in my home in Sandown. My focus is on long-term, relationally oriented psychotherapy but I can also provide short term, solution focussed work where required. In over 30 years of practice I have worked with a great variety of clients, and, while I don’t like labels, I could list most diagnoses amongst the issues clients present with. My personal interests lie in all problems related to trauma, both early developmental as well as recent single-incident. I can treat clients with EMDR and other, fast acting methods for symptom relief, e.g. hypervigilance, nightmares, flashbacks and other aspects of PTSD. I also have a keen interest and in all aspects of life transitions, as well as gender dysphoria and sexual identity. I have 20 years of experience of supervising trainee and qualified counsellors and psychotherapists.
