I am a qualified person-centred therapist, I also have cerebral palsy and a wheelchair user. I specialise in Disability Counselling, Trauma Therapy and Pre-Trial Therapy. As a person-centred therapist, I am lead by you. I offer my clients the safe space they need in which to explore their own issues and share the complexities of their personal journeys. I feel this is important to the self-healing process, as each person’s journey is their own. No one has walked in your shoes and by understanding and respecting that, the journey to recovery can begin.
Since qualifying, I have worked with many individuals with a wide range of issues from grief, depression, and anxiety. As well as my private practice, I also worked for Rotherham Abuse Counselling Service (ROTHACS), working with individuals dealing with many issues of abuse, be it physical, sexual and many more. I have also worked with individuals with disabilities on many matters, both directly related and indirectly related to their disability. As a therapist with cerebral palsy and a wheelchair user myself, I find my understanding can enhance my awareness when helping individuals work through what they bring.
