I offer face to face counselling sessions in Shoreham-by-Sea, West Sussex And online counselling via video, voice, text and email I work with individuals and couples
Thank you for taking the time to look at my profile. I appreciate how difficult taking the first step towards counselling can be and the courage it takes to reach out for support. I have been practising as a fully-qualified counsellor for over 11 years. I aim to create a safe, non-judgemental space for my clients – a space where they can explore all aspects of themselves, working through worries, grief, stress, confusion and pain and move to a place of greater self-acceptance. I believe that every person has the ability to grow and fulfil their potential; to enhance their well-being and create a happier, healthier life for themselves. Counselling has helped me in many ways over the years as both a counsellor and as someone who has received counselling. Taking time to really listen to another human being, to step into their shoes and truly empathise, to offer support and no judgement, can be incredibly powerful and healing. I offer online counselling (through a choice of video, voice, instant messaging or email) and also face to face counselling. I have helped clients with many aspects of their lives as well as specific issues such as:
- Relationship problems
- Panic attacks
- Bereavement & loss
- Difficulties at work
- Low self-esteem
- Identity issues
As a mother, wife, daughter, sister, friend and fellow human being, I aim to tap into all of my life experiences to help me empathise with my clients, to be open and accepting of them, and be the best counsellor I can be. Alongside my counselling work, I have worked in digital, communications and marketing within both the commercial and charity sector for many years. I have supported staff through many difficult issues, both personal and work-related, and understand the stresses and challenges that can happen at work and how these can impact all aspects of your life. I am interested in many aspects of therapy and am committed to continuing my professional and personal development through ongoing training and life-long learning. I receive regular supervision with a BACP accredited supervisor in order to maintain a high standard of work. I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy and am bound by its code of ethics and subject to its complaints procedure. If you have any questions you’d like to ask before you book a session please feel free to message me.
I am a registered member of the BACP. I qualified with distinction in my Diploma in Counselling and have been practicing for 11 years. I have worked with a very diverse range of clients from all walks of life. Many of my clients come to me with anxiety, stress and relationship challenges. Some have experienced significant trauma and abuse during their childhood. Others have experienced loss and are struggling with their grief process. I work with whatever clients presents with – with no judgement. My work is client-led, and I believe the answers lie within you – my role is to help you navigate the challenging thoughts and sometimes overwhelming emotions to get a place of greater peace, understanding and acceptance.
