People come to therapy for a variety of different reasons. Some are feeling anxious, stressed or worried about something. Some are feeling upset, distressed, broken hearted or depressed. Others might feel that something has gone wrong in their life, have regrets, feel stuck or have lost direction, meaning in life. Whatever the reason, sometimes we all find ourselves stuck. Sometimes we go around in circles, unable to sort troubles and worries alone. Getting help from a trained and supportive professional is often an important step towards change. I have experience of working with adult clients from a range of ages, backgrounds, cultures and sexualities. I have been privileged and honoured to be part of each of their journeys through the tears, the setbacks and the laughter. And I have been moved to witness their personal growth, which was often life changing. I have worked with clients who have experienced the following issues around: anxiety, depression, lack of confidence and low self-esteem, sex and sexuality, stress and burnout, childhood trauma, loneliness just to name a few.
I am currently completing my final year of a postgraduate diploma in advanced psychotherapy at the Manchester Institute for Psychotherapy.
I am registered and subscribe to a code of ethics and good practice laid down by the UKCP. I am fully insured and supported by regular clinical supervision.
My standard fee is £42 for a 50 minute session. I do set aside a small number of my practise for concessionary rates for students and individuals on low income (proof of low income might be required). The lower-cost session fee is £35 for a 50 minute session. The initial 30 min face to face consultation fee is £25. There is no fee for the initial 10-15 minute telephone chat.
