It is also there to protect and value your mental wellbeing throughout our therapeutic relationship. Experience: I have worked with clients presenting a range of issues including: Anxiety Depression Grief Domestic abuse Stress Anger management Trauma I have specialist experience in: Addiction – including knowledge of 12 step fellowship Maternal mental health issues – including pre/post natal anxiety and depression, miscarriage and baby loss Approach: I work predominantly with the Person-Centred Approach, which means that you lead the therapy. I do not advise or analyse, I am here to help facilitate a safe and confidential space in which you can explore, reflect and grow without any judgement. At times, it may feel helpful to draw upon other therapeutic skills and approaches in order to move through a particular block in the road. I am also trained in the following: Motivational Interviewing – particular useful when wanting to make a change in some way but finding that leap into action difficult. Expressive Media – coming from a creative background myself, I have found painting, drawing and letter writing to be helpful tools for some clients in their therapeutic journey. Gestalt Chair Work – this can be helpful to work through inter/intra-personal challenges or gain a greater understanding of different perspectives on a challenging issue. I can offer both long-term and short term counselling, depending on your needs. So if therapy feels right for you, right now, contact me for a free initial consultation. *Due to COVID I am currently only working online or by telephone*
