Would you like to feel more satisfied with your life, get to know yourself better, work through important life events or improve your relationships? If so, please get in touch. I support people to make positive life changes through a new understanding of themselves and their strength. I specialise in working with anxiety, grief and depression, and have many years of experience working in the music industry.
Therapy involves noticing and sometimes challenging the ways we think about ourselves, our past and the situations we find ourselves in. Over time this awareness can empower us to be true to ourselves and be more resilient. Working with a therapist provides a trusting and supportive space to focus on what’s going on for you.
My way of working draws on both the Person-Centred and Psychodynamic approaches to therapy. I believe that you have inborn value and that you are best placed to understand yourself and your experiences. My role is to help you to make sense of things and support you to get to where you want to be. I also believe that the things you think or do without thinking can tell us about hidden parts of yourself, and that your relationship with a therapist can show how you relate to other people in your life.
I’m a fully qualified Counsellor and Psychotherapist (Dip.Co) with additional training in Online counselling, Clinical Assessment, Mentalising, Bereavement and Focusing. I have experience working with anxiety and stress, low self-esteem and self-confidence, grief and loss, relationship problems, depression, career changes and the effects of past abuse and trauma.
I’m a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (Reg.MBACP 384444). I work with mental health charity MIND, including for the NHS IAPT service, seeing patients from a wide cross-section of the community. I’m committed to an ethical framework, which is a set of guidelines that ensure my work is safe and puts your wellbeing and choices at the centre of any work we do together.
Sessions last 50 minutes and cost £50 each, and are initially booked in a block of 6. Following a review, there is usually an option to extend the number of sessions if we agree this will be of benefit.
