1. Description and features
The i9 water bottle is a 650ml quality glass drinking bottle that offers an environmentally friendly way to stay hydrated. The bottle features six food-grade silicon rubber bands that come in one or all the seven chakra colours and help provide a solid hand-grip plus additional protection from accidental breakage.
The i9 company prides itself on natural energy and positive vibrations. Their goal is to provide simple access to living water, through their flagship product, the i9 water bottle.
Vili Poznik, the inventor of the bottle, has worked in the field of “infopathy” for over 40 years and has received more than 90 international awards and accolades. He claims that the i9 is “more than just a bottle.” It revitalises water (or any other beverage) with the natural energy of life by changing the molecular structure of average water, to that of a fresh, pure mountain spring.
The i9 also harnesses the principles of chromatography in that when exposed to sunlight, water in a coloured container absorbs the positive vibrations of that colour, hence the attractive colour availability.
According to the principles of homoeopathy and bio-energy, everything in the universe has a unique vibration and emits information. The i9 bottle has an exclusive “informed” tag which positively affects the energetic state of water. Using powerful orgone emitters, they enrich the tag with sets of codes with over 400,000 carefully selected positive vibrations, represented by numbers, symbols and colours.
Apparently, drinking informed water helps our bodies renew their energy reserves, thus making us feel revitalised and more energetic. Sounds good, doesn’t it! Let’s look at the science.
2. Background science
The theory is that stress, poor nutrition and pollution cause the water in our bodies to lose its structure. In-turn, it loses its vitality, self-cleansing, and antibacterial properties. The immune system must repair this damage using our energy reserves, leaving us tired, stressed and illness prone.
Drinking informed, vitalised water returns our body’s own water structure to a healthy, living state, renewing our energy reserves, thus making us feel revitalised and more energetic.
The field of homoeopathy believes in unique vibrations that can be recorded and transferred onto another object. TP Technology uses special equipment, a chembuster, to capture and store these vibrations, translate them into numbers and print them on an informed tag. The tag then positively affects the water in the i9 bottle.
Homoeopathy is a naturopathic field that believes that the body can cure itself and uses tiny amounts of natural substances to stimulate the healing process. A fundamental belief is that “like cures like” and something that causes symptoms can treat it if used in tiny doses. For example, onion can make the eyes water and is used in homoeopathic remedies for allergies.
The i9 company tells us that the i9 bottle has been subjected to tests by recognised international scientists, and 30 years of research and innovation back the technology.
The Institute of Electrophotonics in Berlin carried out extensive tests on the i9 bottle using a Gas Discharge Visualisation (GDV) camera. This highly specialised camera captures the electromagnetic field of the subject, taking a photo of its energetic state.
Their tests showed that drinking water from an i9 water bottle improves the human energetic bio-field and reduces stress levels when compared to drinking water from a standard glass bottle.
I was curious how the researchers measured the stress reduction claim, but it was difficult to find out anything more from the (small!) screenshot on the i9 website. The certificate confirms that the water from the i9 test bottles has a regulating and harmonizing influence on the body, reducing stress and increasing energy, but doesn’t confirm testing details or exact figures.
The company also publishes results of allium tests, although it isn’t clear who performed them. The i9 bottle showed a reduction in water genotoxicity, which describes how chemicals can damage genes. Environmental monitoring uses the allium test to evaluate pollution.
3. Using the i9 water bottle
As the proud new owner of the “Rainbow Chakra” edition i9 water bottle and a newbie to homoeopathy, I’m looking forward to trying it out. I’m also curious to see if I feel any different drinking my daily water from this aesthetically pleasing vessel!
Day 1
I can’t deny that the bottle is attractive and at 750 mls it’s the perfect size to get a good dose of the good stuff while not being too big and bulky. Smaller bottles require continual refills, which can be a trial if you’re busy. If you, like me, spend most of your working day in front of a screen, it’s a good idea to have a water source next to you that lasts for more than a gulp.
The multi-coloured silicon design is eye-catching, and the informed TP tag on the front gives it an air of mystery and intrigue! This is a unique water bottle, which the designers highlight beautifully.
Day 2
Apart from a brief interlude in the shower, my trusted i9 water bottle has been with me every waking moment. My only criticism at this point is that the bottom is a little too bulky to fit in my exercise bike’s water bottle holder. Apart from that, I have no complaints.
A friend who visited commented on the bottle’s amazing appearance. As someone fascinated by homoeopathy, they even decided to purchase one online for themselves.
According to the user manual, you mustn’t put the i9 bottle into the dishwasher to preserve the integrity of the special tagging system. You may see this as a negative if, like me, you cringe at the thought of manual dishwashing!
Day 3
I’m feeling great this morning as I slept better the last two nights than I have in weeks! I haven’t changed my routine other than using the water bottle. Whether the i9 is working its magic or just placebo, ultimately, does it matter? The bottle encourages me to drink plenty of water, which can have a profound effect on natural energy levels.
Outside this, I feel a newfound sense of calm I didn’t have earlier in the week. My week began stressfully, and yet now, I feel calm and in control of everything going on. If nothing else, the water bottle is certainly intriguing me and drawing me in for more!
Day 7
My sleep and energy levels have remained consistent, which for me is a rarity. This fascinating product boasts excellent reviews online and has made me more mindful of how much water I am drinking throughout the day. Its strikingly good looks really do motivate me to keep hydrating myself which can only be a good thing!
4. How can it help our practitioners and clients?
The i9 bottle has a range of benefits for therapists and clients. Especially as under new COVID-19 guidelines, we ask clients to bring their own refreshments to appointments.
Promoting the i9 could prove valuable to therapists to encourage clients to stay hydrated, especially after massages. Drinking enough water is essential because it:
