By listening carefully to what you say, I can help you find your true potential and support you through any difficulties. I’m an honest, caring and positive person, experienced in using all sorts of therapeutic skills to help people process their experiences, express their true thoughts and feelings and to peel away layers of trauma or unhelpful conditioning from the past. In the first session, we will find a shared understanding of your current situation and what needs to be addressed: I share my thoughts with you of how I can help. I support people to devise personal strategies for dealing with stress, anger, anxiety and depression and I support clients to effectively tackle all sorts of problems, personally, at work and in their relationships. You may be struggling with 1 or more addictions or other types of self-harming behaviour, which you would like to eliminate from your life. You may have limiting beliefs or negative thinking which hold you back from achieving your full potential, affecting your self-esteem and confidence; with my help, you can change these; feel happier and more fulfilled. Sometimes, you need just 1 or 2 sessions to adequately reframe whatever situation you’re in, but more often than not, several regular weekly or fortnightly sessions will be required to work through your issues. I have been a therapist for over 20 years and before that I worked in mental health, in Oxford in a variety of settings. I really struggled as a teenager and student and I know the benefits of therapy on a personal level, which is why I trained in this field. I am a registered member of the BACP, a BPA Practitioner and a UKCP Accredited Practitioner; I abide by their ethics. I am also registered with the Association for Neuro-Linguistic Programming.
