Lisa Hazell Integrative Counsellor – Private Practice Hub

Categories: My Services:

I am currently taking on new clients currently but for telephone or online therapy only.

My name is Lisa and I am an Integrative Therapist and registered member of the (BACP) British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.

Working integratively, I draw on various models and therapeutic approaches to tailor therapy to the needs of the individual, rather than work from one specific model. We are all so unique and I dont believe we are a one size fits all.  Some examples of therapies and approaches I may use are Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Psychodynamic, Transactional Analysis and Humanistic therapies.

If this is the first time you have had therapy it can take a little time to get used to the process.  I understand how daunting and somestimes scary the first steps can be, thats why I offer a free initial telephone consultation.  During the consultation, we will assess your needs, and give you the chance to get a feel for the process and ask any questions you may have.  You can decide there and then if you would like to continue with the process, or it may benefit you to reflect and have some time to think about it.

We have to have courage to embark on the therapeutic journey, and it is important to have a therapist, who you can trust will support and be there with you throughout this journey.  The therapeutic relationship plays a crucial part to therapy, as without it, therapy simply cannot work.

Many individuals can experience symptoms associated with painful and traumatic circumstances.  Anxiety, fear and hopelessness are a few emotions that can linger post traumatic events.  I can help you overcome these symptoms and guide you through the process of grief and healing.  I am also very experienced in working with Trauma including Childhood sexual abuse, Domestic Violence, PTSD & CPTSD

Depression & Anxiety

Depression, fear and anxiety are some of the most common and uncomfortable emotions that we can all experience at some point in our lives.  Through counselling and treatment, we are able to help you recover motivation, perspective, and joy that you once had in your life.

Something else

Perhaps you don’t know how you feel but just know something is not right.  Maybe you want to be more assertive or embark on a journey of self discovery. Maybe you are having relationship difficulties or struggling to make a big decision.

I often hear people say in my practice that they “maybe I shouldn’t be here.  There are others who are more in need of this than me”.  I don’t believe that there are experiences better or worse than others, there are just different experiences.  We all experience things differently.  Pain is subjective.  So whatever you are experiencing that has led you to this page, I encourage you to explore to gain deeper understanding and meaning of your life.
